Death Becomes Her 2 (2026) brings back the darkly comedic and glamorous world of immortality, vanity, and revenge that made the original film a cult classic. Decades after the chaotic events of the first movie, the story follows Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp, who have spent years trying to maintain their eternal youth while hiding from the world. Though still as beautiful as ever, their immortality has become more of a curse than a blessing. Their once-perfect bodies have started to show cracks—literally—and they realize that the magic potion they took years ago is losing its power. The two frenemies must put aside their lifelong rivalry to find the mysterious alchemist who first created the potion, in hopes of restoring their fading beauty before it’s too late.
The film begins with Madeline and Helen living in Los Angeles under fake identities, pretending to be glamorous socialites. They attend secret parties full of celebrities who have also taken the potion, forming an underground society of the eternally young. However, a new threat arises when a young, ambitious influencer named Eva discovers their secret and becomes obsessed with obtaining the potion for herself. When she learns that Madeline and Helen are the last people who know how to find the original formula, she manipulates them into helping her, setting off a hilarious and dangerous chain of events.

As the three women travel across Europe—from the catacombs of Paris to ancient ruins in Rome—they encounter bizarre characters and face moral dilemmas about what immortality truly means. Helen, now more reflective and mature, begins to question whether eternal beauty is worth the pain of living forever. Madeline, on the other hand, refuses to give up her obsession with fame and perfection, even if it means destroying what’s left of her humanity. Their constant bickering provides plenty of sharp humor and satirical commentary on today’s obsession with youth, plastic surgery, and social media fame.
Eventually, the women locate the original alchemist, a mysterious figure who reveals that the potion’s true purpose was never about eternal beauty—it was meant to test the human soul. He offers them one final chance: they can choose to remain immortal, trapped in decaying bodies, or renounce the potion and live out their remaining years as mortals. In a surprising turn, Helen decides to give up immortality, embracing the idea that real beauty lies in impermanence. Madeline, however, cannot let go of her vanity and takes one last sip of the potion, unaware that it has been altered.

The film ends with a bittersweet twist—Helen, now aging gracefully, finds peace in her mortality, while Madeline is left as a shattered version of her former self, trapped in an endless cycle of decay and denial. Death Becomes Her 2 delivers a perfect mix of dark comedy, supernatural fantasy, and biting social satire, proving that even immortality can’t stop the power of time—or the consequences of pride.
